The Columbus branch began in 2000 with the opening of Nationwide Arena. SMG brought CSC in to handle all of the security aspects of the building. Our staff works the Columbus Blue Jackets, Columbus Destroyers, and many other concerts and conventions that make their way through the arena.
In the year 2001
Columbus picked up another client,
Beulah
Park.
This is a local racetrack in
Grove City that hosts horse racing and other special events.
When 2004 came around, our branch had a great increase in size.
This year brought the addition of three new clients.
The City of
Dublin began using
CSC to staff the Dublin Irish Festival, 4
th of July Celebration, and the annual St. Patty’s Day Festival.
Our next addition was the Columbus Crew.
At the start of working with this client, the stadium which was the first ever built for just soccer in the
US, hosted the Columbus Crew and a few large concerts.
With the recent addition of the stage in the north end of the stadium, Crew Stadium stills hosts the soccer team, but has now become a great concert venue as well.
The last client that we gained in 2004 was The Ohio State University Department of Athletics.
CSC was brought in by the top caliber athletic program to provide security for the Buckeye football games.
In 2007 came around
Columbus found itself with another new client,
Schottenstein
Center.
Our staff now provides security for the concerts that come through the venue as well as Ohio State Basketball.
